Walk or easily bike to the festival (less than 2 miles). 25 and over only, all 4 days rental (October 1-4), deposit, references, contract required.Cats will have to stay.call Mark 512-970-5519 Her email reply to my inquiry: Our address is 2404 Homedale Circle. It is an easy bike ride to the park (walking is not so bad either). We have 2 bikes you can use. We'll need 1/2 of the rent down, plus $100 cleaning fee = $1100. We'll draw up a rental agreement and send it to you electronicallly, and you can print and mail it back with the deposit. We have 2 indoor/outdoor cats that have to stay too - could yall give them a scoop of food a day? Where are yall coming from? How many cars will there be? Will you be staying Thursday - Sunday night? Low End Theory September Podcast It's September and we have some aural treats for you. Quantic has a new album out and it is PHENOMENAL. Taking his Central/South American influences and mashing it up with reggae he certainly delivers. His track Death of the Revolution starts it off with Smith & Mighty's remix of Big Youth's Jim Screechy coming in behind. Natural Self also has a new album out and it is equally as tasty as his Tru Thoughts counter part. His The Rising with Andreya Triana channels some tribal burning making way for Battle of the Species a track off the first Antibalas record. Martin Perna of Antibalas hooked up with Grupo Fantasma's Adrian Quesada to form the genre bending Ocote Soul Sounds. Their La Reja slides out of the Antibalas ashes right into Quantic Soul Orchestra's Melodious Wayfarer. Culture - Joseph Hill I'm not sure where I was when I first heard Culture but I knew a shift happened. I sought out their entire catalog devoured it the way an addict would. The harmonies were so soulful and wrought with inspiration. Along with bands like Israel Vibrations, Culture represented a shift from the single singer formula that had stood from Bob Marley and Peter Tosh. But just like Toots from the Maytals, Joseph Hill would eventually outshine his cohorts and take the throne of Culture. Every album released by Culture is a near classic. You could be hard pressed to tell one decades release from the next. They never wavered. Sadly Joseph Hill died this past August and Reggae lost another Giant from it's heyday. Joseph was still going strong in his 57th year eventually collapsing after a gig in Germany. Joseph will be sorely missed but his music lives on. Usually we have an audio clip featuring our artist of the month but we'd like to show a video of Culture's classic...
